Kirsty Allsop's Jewels
"Dear Hilary, On one of the Location, Location television programmes, Kirstie Allsopp wore a large, green-stone, dress ring, which took my wife’s fancy. I would like to buy one like it for her, but I have not been able to find anything similar in the shops or on the internet. Regards, John, Bristol
Kirstie’s gorgeous ring is an antique, set with an acquamarine, and was a present from her husband, bought at auction. You do not mention a budget, so I have sourced a selection from a variety of price ranges. At the top end, Michael Rose, Burlington Arcade, London, W1 - www.michael rosejewels.com, has a 1940s, aquamarine, dress ring (single stone, 13.75 ct), set in platinum, for £6,950. At Grays Antiques, 58 Davies Street, London, W1 - www.graysantiques.com, aquamarine dress rings, from the 1920s to the 1950s, range from £500 to £3,900." Hilary Alexander
